 "Satisfied" 2009-07-17

This was a replacement for a like model by this manufacture. As I know the importance of keeping the battery charged EVERY TWO WEEKS or so, I'm sure it will last a long time. (knocking on wood) Keep charged whether you use it or not!!

This is a GREAT source for 12V supply. We use it on the boat for fans and a DVD player. After a movie or 2, it runs the fans all night for the weekend. Also, I know from past experience that Campbell Hausfeld stands behind their products and can supply replacement parts if needed. I hate throw away products! This is NOT one...

 "Works well for me." 2009-06-19
By Average User (USA)
I have had one of these around for years and use it to

inflate tires on lawn tractor, wheelchair, car, etc.

I always keep it charged and got 5 years out of battery

with light use.

I have also used it to trickle charge a dead car battery

by plugging in the 110 charger into the unit and the

cigarette plug into the unit and car at the same time.

(I'm disabled and can't get under the hood to use

a regular charger.) Usually charges the car in 4-12 hours

depending on how dead the battery is.

Don't know why someone said the battery was not replacable.

The battery in my unit is a Long WP7-12. I found

5-6 vendors for replacements at about thirty oh

with shipping. The case screws apart easily enough

and a couple of sliding tabs connect the battery.

"campbell hausfeld 12v air compressor TERRIBLE!!!" 2009-03-28
By Nathan E. Newman (Dallas, TX)
This is the 2nd one of these I've had and after a few months the battery will no longer charge. Even when new it takes over 10 minutes to inflate a car tire. This would only be good for a basketball, it has a very weak output even at full charge and should not be bought!!! Avoid this thing its the same as burning money, the product is Garbage.

Product is excellent. Exactely as described. I topped off the tires on 3 cars for starters. Still have green (hi charge) charge indicator.

 "Piece of Junk" 2007-11-29
By Doug (NJ)
This item was used mainly to inflate basketballs, footballs, floating devices and topping off tires. Its good for the light duty fill-ups, however, it is awful for tires. It is too weak and the pressure gauge was never accurate. Additionally, to use the unit, it must have a full battery charge. If the battery dies and you think you can just plug it in and it will work, you are mistaken. It only draws power from the battery. Good only if you plan on using it for sporting goods.
